POSITION SUMMARY:
The Dispatch Transportation Coordinator position has the responsibility to work safely, maintain a positive attitude, be respectful to all and focus efforts and abilities towards a positive culture and morale. Working under the direction of the transportation supervisor, the Dispatch Transportation Coordinator perform duties related to dispatching loads to transportation carriers to be delivered.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Reviews completed loads.
Reviews checks of available loads to ship and dispatch to carriers.
Communicates clearly and effectively using telephone and written instructions.
Creates move requests for items to be transported.
Performs, creates, and develops accurate data collection.
ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Experience worked in boat industry
Knowledge of products being shipped (boats, motors, trailers, parts, etc.)
Strong PC literacy (Microsoft Word, and Excel
Organizational skills
Ability to multi-task, answer emails and phone calls in timely manner.
Knowledge of AS400, willingness to learn new systems for order entry & load building
Willing to work overtime as needed
Other responsibilities as assigned

Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
