Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Dispatcher. Reporting to the Dispatch Supervisor and working alongside the Delivery Coordinators, this position is responsible for ticketing trucks for the delivery of ready-mix concrete. The Dispatcher plays an integral role in providing excellent service while maintaining an emphasis on product quality and costs. What You’ll Get To Do:Day-to-day dispatching of up to 80 ready mix trucks from 10 concrete plantsInteract with drivers, operations team, and coworkers to satisfy requests for information and changes in shipping requirementsMonitor all aspects of concrete delivery and supplyInteract with all concrete division staff on dispatch related mattersProvide leadership to ready mix truck driversWho we are looking for:Minimum of 3 years’ experience dispatchingMust be willing to work flex hours including Saturdays.Able to maintain a high level of attention to detail while multitasking in a fast paced, team environment.Possess a high level of digital literacy, including intermediate knowledge of Teams and MS Office, as well as experience using web-based programs.Familiar with WorkSafe/Employment Standards/Ministry of Transport policies and regulations is an assetWork Environment:Role operates primarily a professional office environment but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels.What we have to offer:Competitive base salaryHighly competitive benefits programsPension retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributionsOur pre-employment process includes reference checks, a medical screening, a criminal record check and a drivers abstract check.
