The Dispatcher is responsible for ensuring safe and effective and on-time delivery of transit services provided by our subcontracted transportation provider(s) through supervision and dispatching of Operators. Starting wage is $18.00.
Responsibilities:Ensure that “World Class Service” is provided to customers and provide “hands on” assistance and information to customers of Transdev Transportation that utilize company services.Organize and route trips based on schedule and location to ensure optimal performance including managing run pullouts, reassigning trips, and adding new trips to runs throughout the course of the dayMonitoring and address dispatch alertsCalling clients to verify trip information related to reported member no showsAnswering phone calls from providers to assist with address issuesRecord and report all incidents and accidents to the applicable managerDocument and report provider no-shows or on-time-performance issuesEnsure schedule complianceMake optimal use of company operating systems for the purpose of monitoring, dispatching, and improving on street service to the customers.Monitor and enforce system for compliance with State and Federal regulations, Company policy.Ensure a safe environment for the operation of service.Generate accurate operational records for the purpose of reporting and analysis.Ensures that duties are confined to operations only, and any deviation from operational duties must be authorized by senior management.Perform day-to-day dispatch services from the Control Center and various field locationsProvide feedback on drivers’ performancePerform additional duties and responsibilities as needed and/or assignedQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Bilingual communication skills are a plus.Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, Internet software, e-mail, and/or database software preferred.
