Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Dispatcher located in Windsor, Virginia. This role involves coordinating with drivers, overseeing transportation routes, and managing schedules within the Transportation Logistics industry. As a Dispatcher, you will also be required to communicate effectively, answer inbound calls, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise. Responsibilities: • Coordinate with drivers to ensure efficient transportation logistics • Manage and organize schedules to optimize workflow • Monitor and track the progress of transportation routes, making adjustments as necessary • Liaise with various parties when needed to ensure smooth operations • Process and answer inbound calls promptly and professionally • Use effective communication skills to resolve customer inquiries • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions • Implement strategies to improve the efficiency of dispatching tasks • Collaborate with team members to achieve common goals • Use problem-solving skills to handle any issues or disruptions in transportation routes. Requirements • Must have at least 1 year of experience in a dispatcher role or similar field • Proficient in answering and managing inbound calls • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Experience in dispatching tasks or similar coordination roles • Familiarity with transportation logistics is a must • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions • Proficient with computer systems and software • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification • Must be able to work in a team and collaborate effectively • Exceptional organizational and time management skills • Willingness to work in shifts, during weekends, or holidays if required.
