Dispatch drivers to various customers and internal sites as required to deliver our explosive products.

What You’ll Do

In this role you will dispatch interstate bulk drivers to various customers and internal sites as required to deliver our explosive products. You will be responsible for trip scheduling and driver communication regarding the schedule and routes of drivers. Other duties will include:

Communicating with customers about product details, delivery or pickup times, and special handling requestsPlanning pre-determined routes and accommodating route changes as neededPreparing dispatch documents as well as generating invoices and billsMaintaining records of dispatched calls, delivery routes, route changes, as well as delivery timesKeeping track of transportation regulations and laws to ensure that truck drivers are in complianceReviewing driver logs including dispatched calls and arrival timesMonitoring truck repairs and maintenance schedulesLogging customer shipping schedules and complaints

 

What We’re Looking For:

Class A License, with 2-3 years of experience as a truck dispatcher in a similar industryHazmat endorsement or ability to get it (Preferred knowledge and experience with Hazmat) Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook)Experience with Transportation Management Software (TMS)Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations and lawsExtensive experience in customer service, as well as generating freight bills and invoicesExcellent organizational, communication, and time management skillsHigh School Diploma or GED
 Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
