The TMP Dispatcher, Motor Vehicle, Lead is responsible for the assignment of motor vehicles and drivers for conveyance of freight or passengers and compiling lists of available vehicles, and safely transporting passengers and baggage to locations in and around the Fort Liberty area of operation to include the Fayetteville area. Responsibilities MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES: Provides leadership, guidance, and technical assistance to drivers in the performance of day-to-day activities. Ensures employees follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Responsible for employees’ schedules and verifies actual hours worked by personnel. Ensures drivers complete all credentialing tasks in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT), North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles (NCDMV) and Vectrus safety and licensing requirements. Plans and directs personnel and required resources for day to day mission support. Attends or provides briefings and reports as directed or required. Assigns motor vehicles and drivers for conveyance of freight or passengers. Makes determination on assignment of vehicles based on various factors, such as length and purpose of trip, freight or passenger requiremments, and preference of user. Issues keys, record sheets, and driver credentials. Records departure times, destination, cargo, and expected time of returns, and investigation of overdue vehicles. Communicates with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed or damaged merchandise, as necessary. Maintains record of mileage, fuel used, repairs made, and other expenses. Produces reports and logistics data as required. Directs activies of drivers. Complies with all Department of Transportation (DOT), North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles (NCDMV), and Vectrus safety and licensing requirements. Performs before/during/after, operator level operations and safety equipment checks/inspections. Ensures all safety equipment is on-hand and serviceable. Drives passengers and baggage in and around the Fort Liberty and Pope Army Airfield area of operations. Assist passengers with baggage. Ensures that passenger travel is safe and timely. Assigns helpers to drivers as needed. Assigns vehicles to customer agencies. Other duties may be assigned to meet organizational/operation objectives. Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. May be times when employee is exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Employee will be required to conduct some outdoor activities, requiring exposure to hot and cold weather conditions. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Must be able to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer, copy machine and printer. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. May be required to wear a maskcovering nose and mouth. May operate vehicles in conditions of inclement weather in a controlled traffic environment. May be exposed to dirt and fumes, while operating, loading or unloading the vehicles. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid State Driver’s License with no restrictions. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC). Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport. Must be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Liberty Installation. EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of progressively responsible related experience. Knowledge of Army Transportation System Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word) GCSS-A experience is preferred We are committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace that values and supports the contributions of each individual.
