We are the test engineering arm of this critical group at Apple and we are seeking a Test Engineering expert with a background in product development. The role will focus on your expertise in ensuring our displays ship with the exceptional quality that our customers are used to. **Description**
The Graphics, Games and Machine Learning organization is seeking an expert, self-motivated test automation engineer with a real passion for making the displays experience on our products the best it can be. You will work with emerging displays technologies at Apple, in ensuring that we successfully bring these technologies to our customers, in the industry leading bar that we’ve established. In this role, you will primarily focus on the development and execution of test automation to support both new HW and SW features around our displays. You will develop novel ways to test the software frameworks powering our displays stack and think of creative ways to expand the automation. You will also be involved in testing display features to ensure a high bar of quality. As a successful candidate, you should have a strong aptitude for learning new technologies, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to drive sophisticated and challenging projects.
Strong collaboration with engineering teams and an ability to thrive under pressure are key skills required to succeed in this role.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ BS + 4 years of industry experience
+ 3+ years of programming experience and fluency in Python or Swift
+ Experienced in working with, developing and maintaining automation test harnesses/frameworks
+ Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
+ Solid understanding of *NIX-based systems and command-line tools for debugging, analysis, and automation
+ Excellent fundamental understanding of the software development process (proof of concept to shipping)

+ At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
