One of the most relevant trends in today’s networking industry is the softwarization and cloudification of networks, including not only networking functions, but all the management and control of these systems. In this position You will work on progressing the frontier of this trend in researching, architecting and developing distributed system software solutions, with focus on achieving autonomous behavior of the networked system. While doing so, You will have to consider scalability, reliability, security, implementability and operability questions of these systems, using the most advanced theoretical and practical methods and software technologies, such as listed below in the requirements. 

You are an ideal candidate if 

You have PhD degree or You are a PhD candidate in computer science, applied mathematics, electrical engineering, telecommunications, or similar fields; or You have MSc degree in any of these fields with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.  You have knowledge in software engineering, cloud technologies, such as multicloud systems, virtualization technologies, multi-agent systems, declarative programming, GitOps, SaaS, DevOps, API technologies, etc. You have hands on experience in programming (at least in some of the widely used languages such as Python, Java/Javascript, Golang, C/C++), cloud systems, containerization, Linux based systems and some of the methodologies listed here. You are interested in and have knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence; You have solid background in some of the relevant mathematics and engineering fields, e.g. control theory, systems theory, algorithms, graph theory, optimization methods, data science. You are based in Hungary and You meet all employment conditions in Hungary You will work with a wide network of internal and external colleagues, contributing to multi-stakeholder projects;  You will have to create, run and disseminate Your own activities within the topics described here with a highly innovative, proactive and owner attitude.  You will regularly disseminate to Nokia internal and external audiences the concepts, approaches, solutions and results of your work.  You will have to contribute to Nokia IPR, interact and collaborate with Nokia business groups;  You are expected to create international publications, contribute to whitepapers and participate in wider ecosystem engagements.
