Job Summary
The Warehouse Lead supports and coordinates warehouse / shipping department activities to drive efficient operations on assigned shifts and areas. This includes coordinating and assigning customer orders, shipments, receiving product, addressing product and employee concerns, and problem resolving. This person supports Company’s policies/procedures, while following all CI processes and the Management Operating Structure (MOS).
Leads a shift of team members, coordinating shipping and/or warehouse operations including shipping schedules, loading operations and material handling activities.Perform product inventory activities, confirming physical inventory quantity and location, reporting variances.Perform employing training for new employees, current employees, actively communicating procedures and workflow. Document training progression to include training gaps and opportunities.Monitor and communicate employees’ work schedules to meet needs of business. Provide scheduling support to backfill vacancies to minimize department operation disruption.Recommends improvements to reduce cost and drive productivity within the department while achieving the targeted Sales to Service Goals.Perform all required EWM SAP transactions, complete all required documentation.Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.Maintains time and shipping records as required. High School Diploma or equivalent.Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies.Lift truck certification or the ability to obtain a lift truck certification (Powered Industrial Trucks).Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications, SAP a plus. Excellent verbal/written communication skills. Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change.Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail. Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
