Distribution Analyst

Position Overview:

The Distribution Analyst reviews and releases replenishment orders to the distribution center daily. They actively participate in identifying optimal use of employee allocation throughout the distribution center to meet the needs of the business using Engineered Labor Standards. This position helps create and maintain Engineered Labor Standards and also forecasts schedules and helps observer intra-day deployment of staff. This positon also helps lead and assist in Lean/Six Sigma projects to help reduce labor cost or help in process accuracy and turn time. The Distribution Analyst poistion actively assists on-site operations management with identifying and resolving delayed orders. Lastly, they create and distribute, and monitor key reports and metrics for the operation as needed.

Key Accountabilities:

Develops and Forecasts Schedules

Forecasts volume for all functions within the operation determining the necessary staffing plan. Recommends staffing and shift changes to management based on volume and staffing trends, escalating issues as necessary. Establish hiring plans based on long term forecasting, including reporting attrition, hiring, flexing, and training timelines.

Manage Intra-Day Scheduling

Manage the intra-day re-forecasting relative to business needs. Recommends appropriate assignments as needed to make sure forecasts and operational goals are met. Re-forecasts staffing requirements, including running data for overtime, convenience leave, and additional resource requirements in accordance with budgeted goals. Pro-actively monitor staffing and operational performance, including maintaining communication with front line management.

Reporting & Administration

Generate reports that address volume, staffing and scheduling changes on a determined frequency. Review aged waves, identify stalled orders and communicate them to appropriate departments daily. Review orders that have not been released to the distribution center and actively work to resolve inventory need.

Labor Standards

Partner with distributioin management team to identify and implement reporting and tracking of EGS. Meet with distribution management weekly to review labor data results. Maintain and update the Labor Management Systems technical functionality to include time and attendance, job functions.

Process Improvements

Analyzes existing processes, identifies gaps and recommends new or revised policies and procedures Utilizes Lean principles to help identify process improvements resulting in reduction of waste and increase in accuracy.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar field Strong Communication Skills both written and verbal Excellent PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft applications including Excel Ecellent analytical and problem solving skills Ability to interact with management and staff level positions Ability to have a flexible work schedule

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a Distribution or Warehouse environment. Expereince with Labor Management systems, ie. Manhattan, Red Prairie, etc. Experience with databases, VBA, Access, SQL
