Position TitleDistribution and Logistics SupervisorEvenings - Full TimeBell HospitalPosition Summary / Career Interest:Supervisor, Distribution & Logistics are responsible for leading/performing a all aspects of manual or automated tasks necessary at the health system Distribution and Logistics level. These duties include (not limited to) managing of workflows, directing of personnel and management of systems for the system. This may include the Stores, Point of Use or any area as assigned.
The primary areas you will be responsible for performing the above tasks are:

- Stores
- As assigned
This position is the subject matter expert for their respective duties and could lead a team of 30 Lead Specialist and Specialists within the Distribution and Logistics department for the health system. The person filling this position will report directly to the Manager, Distribution and Logistics for their area. The role requires a positive attitude, growth mind-set and the ability to make sound decision in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
Directs the workflow, motivates, trains and monitors the performance of warehouse associates.Monitors work processes and makes suggestions for modifications to increase and improve productivity, efficiency and accuracy for improving costs; implements changes as directed or needed.Supports compliance with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and DEA regulations.Coaches' employees to support their development in the role.Supervises the receipt of merchandise, ensuring that only products intended for the Distribution Center are accepted by the receiving clerks; ensures that daily logs are maintained with accurate information relative to products received.Maintains all records of the delivery process such as time, date, quantity, source and destination of materials shipped.Oversees the manifests of routes and departures to ensure customers receive their merchandise in a timely manner.May interact with customers in resolving delivery, or order filling issues.Ensures the maintenance of records documenting order-filling process such as quantity, size, expiration and lot/serial number as needed.Oversees the quality of the packing, protecting breakable items to ensure merchandise received by customers arrives in a satisfactory manner.Ensures the maintenance of highly detailed records documenting incoming and outgoing shipments.Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.These statements are intended to describe the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.
