Distribution Area Manager

As the Distribution Center (DC) Area Manager, you will provide daily leadership to a Regional Distribution Center (RDC). In addition, you will oversee the receipt, storage and distribution of merchandise to Best Buy company stores, warehouses, home deliveries and shuttle deliveries. You’ll use behavior-based coaching and feedback to ensure team members perform their job duties safely and in a consistent, accurate and productive manner. You’ll coach and develop teams to create a culture of continuous improvement through employee engagement that supports our company values.
What you’ll do
Hire, coach, manage performance and provide tactical direction to hourly staffPartner internally to meet building productivity, safety and quality goals; work externally to fulfill customer needsFacilitate change and set objectives for warehouse operations to create an environment of continuous improvementEstablish and maintain a positive work environment through recognition, training and coachingProvide avenues for employees to give feedback on operational, policy and cultural aspects of their department and the buildingActively participate in special projects, company initiatives, community building events and other leadership duties as apparent or assigned
Basic Qualifications
2 years of experience in distribution, operations, warehousing, customer service, related field or military equivalent2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in business, military or other fields
