Overview:

We are looking for an individual that enjoys working in the fast-paced environment of Shipping and Receiving. Distribution Assistants help maintain accurate levels of raw materials, work in process, packing and finished goods. Distribution Assistants are required to operate a forklift, computers and handheld scanners.

Shift Schedule: 

Monday - Friday 7 am to 3 pm or 8 am to 4 pm

Occasional Overtime including Saturdays


Job Responsibilities:

Assist in the maintenance of accurate inventory levels of raw goods, work in process, packaging and finished goodsOperate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and handheld scanners in an efficient and safe mannerUnload and load multiple trailers daily operating a forkliftBuild skids of product for customer ordersProcess, document and ship finished goodsInteract with production supervisors to provide finished goods product availabilityStorage and warehouse of finished goods materialReceive, process and store incoming deliveriesMaintain an efficient and organized storage areaOperate computer to maintain material files for managementMaintain orderly and neat work areas for easy and safe accessEnsure all paperwork is prepared and distributed in an accurate and timely mannerMaintain accuracy of inbound and outbound shipmentsMaintain cooperative working relationships with departmental employeesMaintain good attendance and safety recordMay be asked to operate machines in manufacturing plant as needed Requirements  High School or GED completion preferredKnowledge of warehousing and distribution as well as material handing equipment experience preferredMust be able to lift 50 pounds consistentlyBasic math and computer skillsMust be able to communicate with employees and management in an effective verbal and written manner
