Job Description:

Education:

High school diploma or G.E.D. required

Work Experiences:

1+ year of related work experience6+ months of supervisory experience preferredKnowledge of distribution functions and production standards preferred

Skills:

Must have a “Safety First” mentalityMS office, with Intermediate experience in Excel and other warehouse management system softwareEffective listening, speaking and writing communication skillsInterpersonal skills that promote collaboration with operations teamAbility to analyze problems and resolve issues in a calm, professional manner in a fast paced and frequently changing environmentMust be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks

Responsibilities:

Supervise Distribution Center crews and participate in activities related to receiving, storing, shipping, dispatching, and delivery of materials and supplies to ensure effective and efficient operationsPromote productivity and safety through effective training and constant feedback to team membersMonitor team member attendance and performance to provide feedback, as necessaryMaintain daily objectives and ensure work goals are met in a timely and effective mannerCommunicate with other Distribution Center departments to maintain efficient product flowConduct departmental meetings to provide working and safety instructions to team members*Performs other general warehouse duties as needed

DISTRIBUTION CENTER WORKING CONDITIONS: There are routine exposures to moderate heat, cold, moisture/wetness and unpleasant air conditions. The position involves considerable physical exertion. This position may require successful completion of a substance abuse screening in addition to a Criminal Background Check.

Firearms Positions: Requires the handling of ammunition and/or firearms. Extra precaution, safe handling, storage of and transport procedures must be followed to ensure safety and compliance with company policies, local and state laws. All Firearm positions will require successful completion of firearms- specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.

Powered Industrial Truck Positions: Requires the operation of a Powered Industrial Truck that will be used to carry, push, pull, lift, stack or tier materials. Extra precaution, safe truck operation and procedures must be followed to ensure safety and compliance with company policies. Team member must have an active PIT Certification (provided by Academy) in order to operate a Powered Industrial Truck.
