Distribution Center Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
What Will You Do?
The Maintenance Leader in the Warehouse assists the Warehouse Superintendent directing the daily activities of the warehouse, including labor & scheduling, supervision and proper utilization of space, equipment and man power. Maintains accountability for the safe, efficient and Lean Operation of the facility and equipment. This role will be 80% hands on maintenance and 20% management. Maintenance, fabrication, welding and repair of the following are expected daily in the facility: PIV, recycling equipment, racking and all other facility maintenance needs such as HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
Schedule, coordinate and supervise the installation and relocation of equipment, as well as dust collection, compressed air and electrical systemDevelop, learn, and train others in the operation of all types of equipment and processesRebuild, refurbish, and modernize old or obsolete machinery, processes or technologyTrouble, test, adjust and repair, equipment, and processesComply and enforce all safety procedures, including LOTO, and is responsible for shutting down any equipment that may pose a safety riskWork with Management to develop and improve SOP’s related to all equipmentContribute ideas for equipment in all areas using appropriate means of communicationEnforce all safety and OSHA policies as required to maintain complianceWhat Do You Need?
5 years’ experience troubleshooting and repairing PIV equipment, racking, recycling equipment and welding, requiredSupervisory/Management experience Licenses or CertificationsCompany-issued PIV License or ability to obtain within 60 days, requiredTroubleshooting mechanical, electrical and electronic problemsWorking knowledge of Continuous Improvement
