Distribution Center Route Driver

General Function: \n

Perform deliveries of products and supplies to customers, and other local stores, transfer products from regional warehouse to stores, recycle items to transfer stations, and maintain necessary paperwork for company vehicles (non-CDL). The role will also perform warehouse work, such as inbound product receiving, order picking, and auditing.\n

Essential Responsibilities \n\nLoad, unload, and deliver product, recycling, or supplies to customers or stores \nFollow the safety requirements of customers while delivering to their premises\nConduct daily inspection of vehicle (report maintenance and deficiencies immediately)\nLoad and unload truck with hand operated pallet jack \nRotate and stock inventory \nBreakdown pallets, identify product, and accurately count product \nUse forklift to move and organize equipment \nCheck in store orders and assist in the warehouse \nFollow all safety procedures and rules established in the facility. Wear proper PPE.\nKeep all work areas clean and free of hazards. Notify the supervisor of any safety hazards or damaged products \nActively participate in all safety and other training programs\n\n

Qualifications \n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\nMust have and maintain a valid driver's license \nMust have a clean driving record for the past 3+ years\nMust be able to become forklift certified, if applicable.\nExcellent navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications\nTime management and organizational skills \nOperate with minimum oversight after given instructions \nGood Communication Skills both written and verbal \nSome computer skills may be required \n\n

Physical Requirements\/Work Environment\n

The physical demands required to perform the essential responsibilities of this position are as follows. Reasonable accommodations, if necessary and\/or as required by law, will be made available. \n\nThis position requires the employee to regularly stand, walk and use hands to handle or touch; frequently talk, hear and lift up to 50 pounds; and occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach above shoulders, and use foot to operate a machine to lift more than 100 pounds\nThe position requires use of manual and mechanical equipment as needed. Training\/certification will be provided as needed. \nWhile performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee will occasionally be exposed to sheltered weather conditions and unheated\/non-air-conditioned spaces, fumes or airborne particles, and the limited risk of electrical shock. \nThe level of noise in the working environment is moderate. \nProtective clothing and\/or equipment used in this position includes goggles, gloves, and steel-toed shoes. \nWhile performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee will occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions. \n\n
