Distribution Center Staff - Team Lead 1st Shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Point person on the team to help direct Distribution Center staff, troubleshoot issues, and answer questions. Ensure Distribution Center staff are productive, efficient, and adhering to SOP's, policies, and procedures. Assist in training and ensuring team members have received proper training to perform duties of the role and meet departmental goals. Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, associates) Implement the business plan for area of responsibility by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals (e.g., Safety, Quality, Teamwork, Productivity) Monitor and manage productivity of area of responsibility by preparing, reviewing and/or analyzing business reports Maintain quality and safety standards in area of responsibility by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, standards and procedures; monitoring associate compliance to policies and procedures; distributing and maintaining procedures and supporting documentation Identify associate, customer, and/or supplier concerns by listening, consulting with others when needed to determine corrective action to take or make recommendations to resolve Works with inventory team to resolve errors. Works in WMS systems to drive operational needs, research issues, or provide reports on operational status or team member performance General housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the area. Ability to be cross trained in other areas of the DC/Production. Occasionally needs to run area with limited supervision. Other duties may be assigned

 

Education and/or Experience                                            

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

WMS/TWL experience a plus

Valid driver’s license.

Training Requirements

Foundation knowledge of LGM’s systems, policies and procedures.

General Safety

RF Scanner

TWL/WMS system proficiency

Fundamental usage in Microsoft Office application

Forklift/Hi Lift/Pallet Jack Training

TCE training

 

Supervisory Responsibilities                                              

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Physical Demands

Some physical exertion is required.

Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds

Regularly required stand, walk, and occasionally bend and move about the facility.

 

Personal Protective Equipment:

Personal protective equipment not required.

 

Work Environment

Works in a distribution center environment.  The Distribution Center environment is not climate controlled.  Will be exposed to dust, odors, and noise.
