WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The Finished Vehicle Distribution department is responsible for the movement of new Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles to dealers and customers in over 100 Markets worldwide. We organise, manage and monitor the movement of every vehicle produced. This helps to ensure that delivery takes place in a timely and efficient manner, whilst maintaining the highest build quality levels possible.

 

This role contributes to managing our operations and supplier base, as well as developing our current and future distribution strategy, are key to delivering a Customer First service to our markets, retailers and customers worldwide. Your contribution will help manage our existing operations, whilst transforming and developing solutions for the future. You will be expected to interface with Manufacturing, Quality, Launch & Central MP&L, Finance, Marketing & Sales, Purchase, Lead Logistics Providers (national & international) and customs.

 

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

 

To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate your ability to provide total Logistics advice, support and report to MP&L Management, conduct Go Look See’s across various plant functions, advising on best cost and operational solutions - with an aim to optimise the existing relationships between Jaguar Land Rover and the current supplier base.

 

Some key interactions and responsibilities include the distribution route change, planning, cost assessment and deployment, the planning and coordination of Finished Vehicle Launch Stocks supporting New Model Launch Activities and the management and development of Lead Logistic suppliers ensuring performance in line with contracted Service Levels and supporting the development and achievement of improvement plans.

 

Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: The Production of Distribution Forecasts, reports and Key Performance Indicators Promote damage prevention and continuous improvement via Lessons Learned and the use of Best Practice Create and monitor CPU information by route, capturing save/increase and trends

 
WHAT TO EXPECT
 

Good understanding of MP&L & supply chain management either national or international Experience in manging Transport Service Providers in a fast-paced working environment Understanding of purchasing/contract negotiation processes and strateg Strong data analytics capability. Experience working with data visualisation tools like Tableau & PowerBI are advantageous Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Word). Ability to communicate and influence others Strong communication skills - both written and verbal Presentation skills, creative, good networking skills
