Bone Bank Allografts in San Antonio, Texas, a subsidiary of Globus Medical Inc., specializes in processing and distributing high-quality bone allografts for various medical procedures, including orthopedic, dental, and reconstructive surgeries. Position Summary:
The Distribution Coordinator oversees the coordination of receiving, releasing, storing, shipping, staging, and ensuring quality control of HCT/P’s (Human Cells, Tissues, and Cellular and Tissue- Based Products) obtained from Contracted Processing Laboratories (CPL)in accordance with BBA Standard Operating Procedures, AATB guidelines, and FDA regulations.
Essential Functions:
Receives and Reconciles incoming HCT/P’s from CPL
Stages work-in-progress HCT/P’s in accordance with Product and Packaging Specifications
Stores work-in-progress HCT/P’s in appropriate climate-controlled environments
Assists with inventory management, product traceability, and production record maintenance
Conducts routine cycle counts and physical inventories
Maintains Customer Owned Stock (COS) inventories and logs
Receives, stores, ships, and destroys Autograft tissue as requested
Quarantines HCT/P’s as required
Prepares, orders, inspects, and releases supplies required to stage, stores and ships HCT/Ps
Packages and ships HCT/P’s, and tracks transit conditions and delivery verifications
Completes sales orders and enters accurate tracking information into the database order form
Processes Return Good Authorizations (RGAs)
Destroys expiring and/or out of specification (OOS) HCT/Ps
Performs Preventative Maintenance (PM) on freezers
Initiates NCRs for Distribution Dept. equipment malfunctions
Initiates Change Notices through Document Control as needed
Conducts weekly secured room cleanings
Maintains all tracking and equipment logs associated with standard operating functions
Performs weekly Shipping & Receiving on-call as scheduled
Performs end-of-day closing procedures
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing, packaging, or shipping and inventory environment with product shipping and tracking experience is required
Basic computer knowledge and skills with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Word, and Excel are required
Organizational skills with the ability to multitask and attention to detail are essential
Focus during repetitive tasks in a challenging, fast-paced environment is necessary

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
