We are seeking a skilled Distribution Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing design work for power distribution projects, participating in client meetings, ensuring quality assurance and quality control for junior-level drafters and designers, and creating comprehensive design packages including prints, bills of materials, and loading calculations. Occasional site visits will be required.
ResponsibilitiesPerform design work for power distribution projects.Participate actively in client meetings.Ensure QA/QC for junior-level drafters and designers.Create full design packages, including prints, BOM, and loading calculations.Conduct occasional site visits.Essential SkillsProficiency in power distribution design.Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation.Knowledge of electrical and utility design.Familiarity with GIS, SPANS, CREWS, or DDS.Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or ).Previous experience in power distribution.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Work Environment
This role offers a remote work environment with occasional field visits to client sites. The distribution team currently consists of four local members in Pittsburgh, and you will have access to other engineers across different locations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a top design firm within the Power Sector, known for its versatility and opportunities for upward mobility.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.46 - $43.27
