Responsibilities:  Responsible for operation of all mechanical systems, machinery and equipment required supporting normal plant operation.  to provide mechanical support service in response to operational changes resulting from the malfunction, breakdown, relocation, replacement or other modification of existing mechanical systems and/or equipment and to provide support for any new installations machinery and equipment.

\r\n

Knowledge: 

\r\n

*  Knowledgeable in preparation of labor and material cost estimates to assist in development of list of material for required parts and materials for maintenance and installation of production machinery and equipment. 

\r\n

*  Ability to train lower-level maintenance mechanics to other level of proficiency. 

\r\n

*  Ability to wire electrical motors for correct voltage and phase. 

\r\n

*  Troubleshoots electrical problems on single and three phase motors. 

\r\n

*  Ability to use all necessary hand, power tools and testing equipment and instruments with proficiency. 

\r\n

*  Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, rebuild gearboxes and pumps, replace and lace conveyor belts. 

\r\n

*  Have excellent Attendance, Personnel and Safety record. 

\r\n

*  Extensive Knowledge of Workplace Safety Rules.

Education & Experience:

\r\n

*  High School Diploma or GED

\r\n

*  Must be able to speak, read and write English

\r\n
