Your Role
We are looking for a senior professional to join our Operations Team at Technogym Village (Cesena, Italy) as a Distribution Logistics Manager
We are looking for an experienced manager with a proven track record across the various key distribution logistics competencies: negotiation of international transportation services (transport, whs, installation), logistics costs management, Demand Planning & Stock Management, Customes & Duties regulations, insurance
This role is pivotal in maintaining service levels, optimizing stock levels, and driving cost reduction initiatives related to delivery and installation while upholding service quality.
Your Impact
Manage the demand planning process to develop sales forecasts (Sales Operation Plan), ensuring industrial plants can adjust their production in line with expected delivery trends.
Assure linear logistics volumes working to reduce peaks and grant adequate capacity along the value chain (whs inbound and outbound capacity, as well installation capacity)
Define activities and policies for cost reduction in delivery and installation, ensuring high service quality and optimizing finished product stock levels.
Negotiate national and international transportation contracts for centralized suppliers and national markets directly served by Technogym direct subsidiaries (14), in coordination with the purchasing office and subsidiaries local operations.
Manage international carriers (road & sea) to increase service level, reduce delivery time and maintain high service standards.
Monitor the correct setup of local subsidiaries' logistics operations in the various markets (domestic transportation, warehousing, and installation service)
Supervise the proper management of finished product inventory at distribution centers located in the various markets where Technogym sales subsidiaries are present (2 whs per country in 14 nations)
Define processes and guidelines for stock management, inventories, cycle count, and scrapping to ensure proper handling and segregation of various stock types in different markets.
Monitor effective adoption by subsidiaries, activate corrective actions if necessary, conduct regular audits, and develop improvement plans for third-party warehouse operations.
Oversee insurance coverage related to stocks and risks associated with transportation, installation, and storage of products.
Monitors achievement of service level agreements with national logistics partners (branches) and proactively activates quality performance improvement processes
Enhance the logistics footprint across various markets to minimize distribution costs and improve time to service and delivery and installation (D&I) service quality.
Ensure high-quality levels of installation activities by monitoring feedback KPIs from the market, auditing activities, training, and certification of installation technicians
Lead projects to improve environmental, social, and governance (ESG) outcomes by reducing the environmental impact of transportation and installation activities.
About YouIdeally, you are passionate about working out, enthusiastic, and proactive, while also down-to-earth and ethical. Experience of, or a proven interest in the fitness industry is highly desirable, along with excellent account management/solution selling/strategic thinking/relationship skills.
What you should bring:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related area at a global level with exposure to international logistics operations
Strong experience in managing shipments/deliveries of high-tech assets.
Proficiency in managing warehouse operations and overseeing inbound/outbound logistics flows.
In-depth knowledge and application of lean methodologies for process improvement (Lean Kaizen skills).
Knowledge of export management procedures and regulations (AEO certification is a plus)
Data-driven mindset, accustomed to working with KPIs and developing forecast/analytical models.
Strong financial acumen to manage budgets, cost reduction projects, and financial planning.
Effective negotiation skills for managing transportation contracts.
Expertise in business process reengineering to analyze and improve operational processes.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
Advanced use of MS Office, Power BI, SAP, and logistics software.
Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving capabilities.
Experience with lean methodologies such as Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, and the 5 Whys.
Knowledge of international transportation, customs & duties regulation, storage contracts, and insurance.
