Responsibilities:
Assisting in deploying global and regional Distribution Management strategies locally and developing business opportunities in Hong Kong Coordinating with distribution partners for meetings, events and initiatives Handling general queries by distribution partners and potential clients Meeting with brokers to present risk appetite/product coverage and conducting training Working with supporting teams to create and maintain accurate records and ensuring procedures are followed Sourcing enquiries/submissions for event cancellation/film production Working with Regional Underwriter to underwrite/quote for submissions on event cancellation/film production, and issuing documents accordingly
Requirements:
Relevant degree preferred, in e.g., Economics, Marketing, Business Administration etc. IIQE is required and additional professional insurance qualification would be advantageous Proven track of Business Development role in industrial / specialty insurance business. Robust knowledge in various Line of Business Experience of delivering in an analytical role (sales environment, controlling roles or similar) Demonstrable experience of fostering long term, profitable relationships with broker and client organisations Successful track record of prospecting new clients in industrial / specialty insurance segment Experience working in complex, global matrix organization General Skills Communication & Presentation: ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally. Ability to "sell" an improvised or prepared audience winning story Influencing skills: ability to persuade and motivate others to act, without executive authority Analytical Skills: ability to analyse highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire Negotiation and conflict management: ability to negotiate best position for Allianz Commercial, and client, often in contentious situations, managing conflicting priorities of various parties Technical Skills Business insight: ability to implement tools and methodologies to develop market, competitor, and client insight Insurance and Sales Distribution: knowledge of large risks and specialty risk insurance. Ability to utilise experience to implement best practice in channel management Strategic Market Management: ability to define segmentation and client differentiation strategies; ability to define clear value proposition Portfolio management: ability to articulate businesses on the Allianz Commercial multi-line offering and benefitsAllianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
