Distribution Operations Manager - Second Shift

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Manager Fulfillment Center Operations, we are looking for an Operations Manager, responsible for returns and inbound operations. You will maintain benchmark levels of safety, efficiency, quality, productivity, continuous improvement within the building and throughout the supply chain, and the hiring and development of management and hourly teams. You will work onsite in Piney Flats, Tennessee and support the team on Nights, Monday-Thursday.

Your Impact

Overall responsibility for understanding and meeting performance metrics to include developing/supporting the operations budget and identifying financial variances and the business/performance metrics that drive themCoach and assist Area Managers in handling disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, terminations, and development of employeesConduct daily interaction with Area Managers to provide feedback on unit performance and progress towards goalsObserve team production/accuracy data and provide guidance to supervisors in establishing new goalsIdentify and analyze root cause and effect and develop/execute action plans and decisionsBuild business improvement teams, develop solution seeking environment that is engaged in process improvementDevelop Fulfillment Center strategy through knowledge of business and direction while also supporting/understanding corporate vision and goalsStrong understanding of WMS system functionality and test/identify new applications/processes to identify system capabilities and future benefits

What You Bring

7+ years fulfillment/distribution experience with at least 3 years in a leadership roleBA/BS degree or equivalent work experienceExperience developing and managing Leaders, and 50+ team membersAdvanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Excel (can perform complex functions), Outlook, and WMSExcellent management and project management skills

Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
