We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Distribution Planner to manage and optimize the distribution of products across our supply chain network. General Summary:
Co-ordinate procurement and planning for designated purchased products. Effectively manage designated products for relevant CommScope Distribution Centers to provide exceptional customer service in a manner which will result in the reduction of the total cost of ownership. Optimize and manage the end to end planning process, ensuring CommScope Distribution Planning strategy is achieved.
As a Distribution Planner, you are responsible for your own material schedule, reviewing current demand, your current supply plan and the current available-to-promise (ATP) quantity.
Communicate with customer service, sales, demand planners and product line management on order status, expedites and reschedules in real time.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and implement distribution plans to ensure optimal inventory allocation across multiple locations. Analyze demand forecasts, sales trends, and inventory data to maintain appropriate stock levels Co-ordination of all planning activities, resources and focus for assigned area, customer, products and plant First point of contact / escalation point for any issues, queries and questions for assigned area Daily scheduling of new demands in SAP within 48hrs Create and maintain supply orders in line with demands Maintain date accuracy on orders Track internal and external supply orders to ensure they ship on time Manage and escalate any shipment delays that may affect customer ship dates Ensure supply is available on time to make physical shipment to the customer Communicate with logistics and external parties to provide updates on incoming supply, expediting the process where possible Participate in regular meetings with the Logistics team key stakeholders to ensure materials are available to meet the daily/weekly shipment plan and the customer required date. Analyze safety stocks, lead times, shipping routes and forecast to provide recommendations to Demand Planning. Analyze and report on slow moving inventory Maintain planning master data to ensure accurate planning and replenishment. Identify changes to Planning master data through periodic review of data and performance Maintain planning process and ERP systems utilizing global best practice Maintain work instructions and procedure documents in defined and controlled manner. Co-ordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure efficient and timely processing of inventory and orders Manage inventory replenishment using agreed methodology and tools to delivery exceptional customer service, efficient logistics operations and minimized inventory. Accurately and effectively communicates to Team Members, Manager, Customer Service, Sales and Product Management issues and opportunities. Raise any performance issues regarding resources with Distribution Planning Supervisor to be addressed Pro-actively monitor and report expected out of stocks and deviations for defined KPI’s, focusing on root causes and issue resolving Completes other duties as assigned by Superiors
Qualifications:
Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent. Preferably with 5 years’ experience in a supply chain environment. Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems SAP, SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning) Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CPIM, CSCP). Planner/material controller experience in a systems driven environment Problem solving attitude - analytical Fluent in written and verbal English Maintaining excellent customer service levels under pressure/stress-resistant Excellent communication skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Flexible, enthusiastic, positive and team player
