Distribution Planner

Maximize quality of inventory by improving profitability and operational efficiency such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, BO and any other inventory related topics.


The primary position functions comprise of:
1. Inventory Management (30%)
2. Demand forecast and supply plan (30%)
3. Sales &Operations Planning (30%)
4. Control import/export processes (10%)

Principal Accountabilities

Support the Planning Manager in developing Japan supply chain planning strategies.Ensure an effective SIOP process, Regional and global needs.Facilitate effective SIOP material both in market and for Japan review.Responsible for the performance management metrics/scorecard, driving root cause analysis and corrective action plans for designated product groupsResponsible for RSO (Rationalize, Standardize & Optimize) transformational initiatives for designated product group.Manage process of capacity/constraint planning to satisfy the changing demands of the business for both existing and new products.Deputise for the Planning Director when requiredCo-ordinate and execute programs to enhance tools, competencies and outcomes across APAC markets.Lead super user community in designated franchise.Perform all activities in compliance with relevant GMP (GDP) and Quality System standards.Maintain high standards of Health & Safety in the work place in accordance with the Company’s Health & Safety policy, Quality system and commitment to loss control.Coordinate all cross functional planning activities within the market/product scope. (NPI, Sets ect.)

Requirements of Knowledge and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and proven job-related experience. Comprehensive knowledge in job related functional area. Proven ability to identify key issues and develop solutions.Proven experience of Planner in Supply Chain at least 3 yearsStrong organizational skills and demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies, plans, and solutions to identified issues and problems.Track record of taking initiative in managing competing organizational and departmental priorities and to work effectively under pressure when facing extremely short deadlines.Good judgment, discretion, tact and the ability to work easily with senior leadersProven experience in a manufacturing and third party manufacturing environmentDemonstrated experience in driving global change management programsProven strength of executive presence and gravitas, representing Supply Chain the Commercial businessExperience should include in back order handlingsExperience should include familiarity with products in a Medical/Healthcare field.Experience should include an understanding of “in-market” practices
