Distribution Process Engineer (m/f/d)

The Opportunity:

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in a globally connected team? As a Distribution Process Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of process optimization, system integration, and automation-driven engineering, supporting the operations of distribution centers across Europe.

Based in Leuven with hybrid working flexibility, you’ll collaborate with a close-knit European team of six and connect with 14 global teammates, driving innovative solutions that redefine supply chain excellence. This role includes 30% international travel, primarily within Europe and the U.S., offering opportunities to engage with diverse teams and cutting-edge technology while making a measurable impact.

What We Are Looking For

Education: A degree in engineering or a related technical field.Experience: several years of experience in process engineering or distribution operationsLanguage Skills: Fluency in Dutch, French, and English is essential for this global role.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Process Engineering Expertise: Experience in creating and optimizing distribution workflows.Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with SAP/EWM (training provided) and Microsoft Office tools.Continuous Improvement Mindset: Knowledge of Kaizen, Lean methodologies, and tools like 6S, VSM, and A3.Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and create actionable insights using tools like SAP and QlikView.Proactive Problem-Solving: A solutions-oriented approach with a focus on automation and efficiency.

How You Will Thrive and Make an Impact

In this impactful role, you will support the warehouse administration and transportation teams and:

Optimize Distribution Processes: Collaborate with operations teams to streamline workflows and ensure compliance with established procedures.Engineer Innovation: Develop and implement automation-focused processes to enhance operational efficiency.Drive Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives leveraging Kaizen, Lean tools, and advanced methodologies to innovate and refine operations.Support Strategic Projects: Contribute to European distribution projects, including regulatory changes and KPI development.Bridge IT and Operations: Act as a liaison between IT and warehouse teams to enhance functionality with tools like SAP and QlikView.Develop and Train Teams: Create clear working instructions, conduct training sessions, and support the roll-out of new tools and functionalities.
