Job Description for DISTRIBUTION REPLENISHMENT PLANNER (DRP)
Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Role
Analyze sales short/mid term demand forecast versus actual in order to optimize inventory levelPurchase finished goods/raw material from Albemarle production sites or third party warehouses/suppliersMaintain inventory target levels by following customer orders/forecast and placing resupply/replenishment orders with respecting lead-timesCooperate with sales and business team to set safety stock levels where neededInteraction with production sites and TPEM team to ensure the resupply orders are committed and ready to process in TM systemFollow up the status of replenishment and if any delay which impact customer order(s) notify the customer service departmentStrong collaboration with Warehouse Operation team on inventory management to reduce cost (respect FIFO rule, slow moving stock, disposal option etc.)Fill in and monitor KPI’s and maintain the dashboardManage the ISO fleet movements in SAP where applicableMaintain batch allocation for certain customers where special requirementsPrepare and attend on various meetings like huddle, supply review, JBC priority call etc.Collaborate with Sales and Business team when situation of capacity or product shortagesFollow up 3rd party warehouse issues with Warehouse Operation team in case of product loss, damaged product etc.Open and follow up quality notification in SAP in case of product quality issueMaintain data integrity with needed SAP adjustmentLease and interact with other departments to identify and evaluate support needed from distribution in order to improve business performancePerform all duties in accordance with Albemarle policies, work instructions and proceduresMeet with and satisfy the defined metrics/KPIsCollaboration with internal and external auditors for data, reports, and follow-up on questions and issuesEscalate issues to the Team Leader/ Line Manager when it goes beyond the roles and responsibilities and further impact on the performance is foreseeableRequirements
College or University degree in Economics, Logistics, supply chain, or chemical engineeringMinimum 3-5 years of Supply Chain or Logistics experienceAdvanced communication level in English (both written and verbal) is a must any additional language is a plusAdvanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Having good understanding of purchasing, material management, inventory management processesERP system knowledge, SAP MM/SD modules are preferredForecast analytics tools like IBP knowledge is a plusPower BI (Power queries) knowledge is a plusLogical thinking and pay attention to the details under pressure as wellExcellent problem solving skillsGood time-manager and be able to organize his/her day-to-day tasksCostumer focused attitude; meet or exceed customer expectationsGood interpersonal skillsBenefits of Joining Albemarle
