The Distributor Sales Manager will lead the Landscape Turf sales effort for Rain Bird’s Distribution Channel in the Southeast region (AL, AR, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC, TN, & FL Panhandle) and play a pivotal role to aggressively grow sales. The role requires a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who will successfully differentiate Rain Bird from its competitors. 

Responsibilities Achieve sales goals for assigned regionAct as team quarterback in monitoring numbers and team progress and take lead on defining strategies to grow market shareMaintain and enhance relations with the major accounts in the regionBe responsible for managing the selection, development, and annual sales planning of distributors intended to grow shareAssist marketing in determining product needsAssist marketing in field quality issues and continually support corporation in improvement of our product qualityPrepare regular and special sales reports as assigned including Monthly Reports, Annual Sales Plans, etc. coordinated with the Regional Sales team and with National Sales ManagerMaintain sales travel and promotional budgets while growing shareConfer with the managers on changes and improvements in company policyLead sales initiatives and programs related to the sales teamPropose and implement sales and marketing programs to gain market share in product categories Qualifications Undergraduate Degree preferably in Business, Engineering or Marketing5-8 years previous successful sales experience1 year minimum previous outside sales management experience—must have experience setting strategic direction for sales teamsDriven, self-starter wanting to lead a team and grow aggressively with the Rain Bird organizationThe successful candidate must live within the Southeast regionAbility to travel overnight up to 50% of the time

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience in the Turf Irrigation Industry with a knowledge of Turf Products and applications, distribution channels and customers, the Rain Bird organization, Rain Bird products, competitors, etc.Marketing experienceMBABilingual/Speaks Spanish
