Distribution Services Coordinator
Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Distribution Services Coordinator in the Real Estate & Property industry located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role involves providing services to various partners, corporate employees, and internal teams. As a vital part of our team, you will be tasked with various responsibilities including sorting and distributing materials and ensuring efficient operations. Responsibilities: • Ensure efficient and effective processing of incoming and outgoing mail for various affiliates. • Safely pick up and deliver mail and/or packages to the appropriate destinations. • Manage the centralized preparation and shipping of parcels and freight shipments from the corporate center to various external locations. • Oversee the centralized receiving, inspection, verification, storage, and communication regarding all shipments arriving at the corporate center. • Process all shipping invoices and purchase orders through the appropriate purchasing and accounting software. • Respond to mailing and/or shipping requests identified by internal business areas, partners, or the field. • Determine the most accurate and cost-effective envelopes and/or package solutions for items unique in size, shape, and weight. • Maintain cleanliness and restock supplies at mail stops, work areas, and distribution areas. • Collaborate with the Sr. Distribution Coordinator and Supervisor to continually improve processes and optimize performance. • Assist other departments with their workloads as needed. Requirements • Proficient in communication, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external partners. • Experience with invoice processing and verification, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting software systems. • Knowledge of shipping functions, including dispatching and managing outgoing shipments. • Familiarity with scanning and restocking processes within a distribution setting. • Ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors, effectively managing purchase orders. • Experience in optimization processes and process improvement strategies. • Proven ability to work collaboratively with partners, both internal and external. • Familiarity with shipping procedures and protocols, including the handling of outgoing mail. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites and Windows OS, with the ability to quickly learn new software applications. • Detail-oriented, with the ability to verify all paperwork and ensure quality standards are met. • Knowledge of storage procedures within a distribution setting, ensuring all items are properly stored and catalogued. • Experience in restocking items, ensuring all items are readily available for dispatch. • Ability to communicate effectively with appropriate personnel, ensuring all processes are completed accurately and on time. • Understanding of Credit Union Policy and the ability to adhere to these guidelines. • Proficiency in using accounting software systems for invoice processing and other financial tasks.
