Your Role at Raising Cane’s:

The Distribution Specialist works closely with distribution partners to ensure that restaurants have what is needed to prepare our craveable chicken finger meals. This role utilizes existing applications to bring visibility to the performance of distribution partners while assisting all members of the supply chain team with ongoing projects to help achieve company goals. The Distribution Specialist supports the NRO (New Restaurant Opening) teams through coordination of deliveries associated with an NRO.

Job Description

Existing restaurant and distribution center support:

Reviews incidents for assigned restaurants in FoodLogiQ, (or selected visibility software), ensuring all information from distribution partners is accurate and completeManages FoodLogiQ (or selected visibility software) regarding distribution issues, including timely responses from distribution partners, evaluation of credit requests, and recovery shipmentsResolves product shortage issues between distributors and suppliers to ensure continuous product supply and enforces liability for shortagesProvides restaurant support for service issues, including trash, oil recycling, linens, and CO2Assists with onboarding new distribution partners into the visibility softwareUpdates monthly reporting based on incidents in the visibility software and participates in rotational weekend coverage

New Restaurant Support:

Communicates key information between Raising Cane’s, suppliers, and internal customers to facilitate NROsFollows up on all details regarding openings and promotions to ensure key dates and targets are met for products and servicesCollaborates with purchasing and distribution partners to ensure inventory availability and maintenance at optimal levels to support on time restaurant openingsRefines and develops improvement processes to simplify and reduce costs associated with NROsMaintains metrics to track efficiency of NROsSupports incidents and local suppliers with bread delivery, trash pickup, linens services, and waste oil pick-upMaintains and shares the NRO schedule with distributors and suppliers

   Support Company Growth:

Enhances personal performance by continuously developing skills in Microsoft applications, attending industry events, visiting suppliers and partners, and testing and supporting the implementation of new software applicationsSupports the development, testing, and implementation of existing and new products, enabling effective collaboration between Supply Chain, Operations, Research & Design, and Marketing teams to ensure the highest quality of products to customers and crewProvides operational support as needed during times of severe weather and crisis recoverySupports ad hoc requests within the Supply Chain teamQualificationsBachelor’s degree in an applicable field or broad restaurant operations - this is an entry level position that is intended to grow and develop the individual within Raising Cane’sAbility to make decisions with less than complete information to ensure projects are completed on time and meet target deadlinesAbility to conduct analytics that balance costs, timelines, and practical considerations to make the best decisionsDetail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changingSelf-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaborativelyMust maintain confidential informationMicrosoft proficient: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and WordAbility to work in a high growth and pace environment which will require responding to issues after hours and on the weekendsPosition may require up to 5% travelAble to work out of the Dallas Restaurant Support Office located in Plano, TX, full timeAdditional Information
