Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Distributor Account Manager to manage relationships with wholesalers and distributors in Colombia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the flow of products to end customers or machines that will be utilized by SMBs (Small and Medium Businesses). This role involves direct interaction with Tier 1 partners, wholesalers, and channel partners. The candidate will have a sales quota tied to the purchases made by distributors (sell-in).
Key Responsibilities:
Distributor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesalers, distributors, and Tier 1 partners in Colombia.
Product Distribution: Ensure the efficient flow of products to end customers or SMBs, optimizing inventory and product rotation within the channel.
Sales Targets: Achieve sales quotas tied to distributor purchases (sell-in) and execute the 60/40 sales plan effectively.
Channel Expertise: Leverage in-depth knowledge of the Colombian channel ecosystem to identify opportunities and drive growth.
Financial Acumen: Manage budgets, purchasing processes, and product rotation strategies to maximize profitability and efficiency.
Commercial Skills: Demonstrate strong commercial and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with clients.
Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and channel performance to adjust strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in distributor management, channel sales, or a related field. Proven track record of managing wholesalers and distributors in Colombia.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Colombian channel ecosystem and SMB market.
Financial Skills: Strong financial acumen, including budget management, purchasing, and inventory rotation.
Commercial Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to maintain strong rapport with clients and partners.
Education: Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Language: Fluency in Spanish and English is a plus.
