As a District Controller at R360 Environmental Solutions Canada, you will become an expert in our entire accounting cycle. You will lead a local team and perform daily accounting tasks, in addition to monthly forecasting, the annual budget, and special projects. You will partner with our operations-based District Managers to provide financial advice and assist in evaluating their business decisions. You will interact with employees across all Departments including Operations, Engineering, IT, Sales, and Customer Service. Your success within the role is reliant on an ambitious work ethic, excellent communication, and the ability to problem-solve. The key to R360 Environmental Solutions Canada’s continued growth and success is sourcing, developing, and promoting individuals who meet these expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performing monthly financial close functions through preparation of financial statementsReconciliation of all general ledger accountsCompletion of monthly financial projection analysisMonthly narrative analysis of significant financial variances to budget and forecastEffective ongoing communication of financial related information to business counterpartsPlanning and participating in the annual financial budget processPrepare all capital purchase requests for the district, including preparation of all support documentsImplement and maintain required internal controlsImplement and maintain regular reporting processes to support operationsCoordinating and performing Inventory countsProvide training, coaching, goal setting and reviews of direct reports to optimize performance;Providing training to non-financial personnel on internal control compliance, accounting procedures and financial statement reviewSpecial projects as assigned.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.CPA Certification4-7 Years’ ExperienceHigh degree of business acumenIntermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel and related accounting business systems.Excellent written and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple prioritiesMust be a self-starter with the initiative to learn and a great work ethicWhat’s In It for You?
