Qualifications:
+ Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate appropriate for assignment
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, Master’s preferred
+ Successful experience working with TK-2 LAP populations.
+ Self-starter, able to work independently developing short- and long-term plans to achieve goals
+ Experience facilitating Professional Development for adults
+ Experience as model/mentor teacher or instructional coach
+ Understanding of, and experience using, evidenced-based instructional practices
+ Experience working in an MTSS system
+ Ability to work cooperatively with students, their parents, and communities who are culturally, racially, and linguistically diverse
+ Proven ability to function in a team-oriented setting
+ Successful experience working with a variety of stakeholders including administrators, staff, parents and community members
+ Experience and knowledge of high educational standards while working with diverse linguistic populations
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
+ Advanced ability to use and adapt to technology as an effective communication, planning and instructional tool
+ Has reliable transportation as travel is required to and from many school locations
Essential Functions:
+ Collaborate and consult with district personnel, principals, and building staff to support implementation of the TK-2 LAP programs in accordance with the funding source
+ Work in multiple buildings to support TK-2 LAP services and consult with site teams regarding progress monitoring of TK-2 LAP students who are struggling in academic areas
+ Share evidence-based educational strategies and approaches in elementary schools to improve TK-2 LAP student achievement district wide
+ Review formative and summative classroom, district and state data to inform student screenings
+ Support teachers in a variety of settings and content areas through demonstration teaching, job- embedded coaching, and professional development
+ Design, facilitate, and/or participate in staff development courses aligned with the school and district initiatives
+ Assist with TK-2 LAP program design modification, monitoring, and scheduling
+ Monitor LAP compliance files at the school site
+ Effectively communicate, orally and in writing, across a broad array of educational groups that include educators, parents/families, students, district and OSPI staff
+ Participate in parent-family engagement meetings and assist with the development of strategies to engage parents
+ Works in a flexible and cooperative manner
+ Treats co-workers, supervisors, students, parents and others with dignity and respect at all times
+ Serves as a positive role model for students, and practices the behaviors that are expected of our students
+ Maintains regular and punctual attendance and hours of operation as set by the Director of Multilingual/Student Success to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position to achieve program requirements
+ Supervision of students
+ Other duties as assigned

Benefits/Compensation:
+ Salary range: $62,925 - $118,608 (includes Base & TRI enrichment; commensurate upon FTE, degree, credits and experience). Salary schedules can be accessed here (https://vansd.org/salary-schedules/) .
+ Additional Compensation: Certificated positions may have additional pay provisions above what is represented on the salary range such as, but not limited to TRI professional learning, extended year days, extra appendix E supplemental days and professional development reimbursement.
