Job Description:

Major Responsibilities:

Major Activity (Key Outputs/Responsibilities)

1. Accountabilities and results

Ensure effective coordination of the project. This includes planning and implementing project activities, documenting, supervising, controlling, and monitoring planned activities within the program, establishing relationships with district health services authorities, and linking with other behaviour change projects and activities.

2. Responsible for implementing the day-to-day project activities, following the project proposal, and aligning with the proposed activities and budget lines.

3. Represent WV Mozambique at the district level and liaise with relevant stakeholders about the RHCC project.

3. Conduct regular internal review and analysis of project data in coordination with the MEAL team to determine progress towards goals and gaps and develop plans for technical assistance to address the gaps.

4. Establish an effective communication channel with the Health, WASH and Nutrition government authorities at the district level throughout the project. The aim is to ensure project sustainability by gradually enabling the district government to assume project ownership and continuity of its activities beyond the end date.

5. Represent the project at community, district, and provincial partner meetings, ensuring that project activities are well presented.

6. Establish a system of information and feedback mechanism at the project, district DPS and DDS levels to ensure the dissemination of information related to achievements and challenges encountered in implementing the activities.

7. Participate in weekly Bible study and devotions and encourage the spiritual development of staff.

Qualifications:  Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

Minimum Qualification required:

A minimum of a nursing degree or diploma course in nursing, epidemiology, health, nutrition, or environmental science.

Experience:

At least 3 years of experience in project management

Preferred:

Ability to supervise community groups and leaders and coordinate with partners. Using inclusive and participative methodsProven excellent communication skills (written and oral) required in Portuguese and English.

Technical Skills & Abilities:

Excellent computer, data capture and basic analysis skills. Knowledge of Microsoft

Windows, Excel.

Ability to work in the field in hard conditionsAbility to prepare and edit high-quality reports
