About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a District Representative/Account Manager to join our Food & Beverage Division on a Fixed Term Contract for at least 10 months, servicing our clients in northern area of Tasmania. Reporting directly to the District Manager, and preferably based in the Burnie region, you will be responsible for driving product and service growth by developing close relationships with existing customers between Devonport and Smithton. You will achieve this by discovering customer needs, developing and implementing innovative digital solutions, and providing outstanding customer service.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting on-site quality testing to help customers identify and address potential contamination or hygiene issues.
Developing and implementing customised cleaning or sanitation programs for specific customer needs and facilities.
Training customer staff on the proper use and maintenance of Ecolab equipment and systems.
Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers when issues arise with Ecolab products or services.
Inventory management
Conducting regular site inspections and audits to ensure that Ecolab equipment and systems are functioning properly and that customer facilities are meeting relevant regulatory and safety standards.
Collaborating with Ecolab Account Managers and other professionals to identify new business growth opportunities and provide insights on customer needs and preferences.
Overnight stays may be required and willingness to travel is essential.
By nature, you will ideally be:
An effective communicator
Have strong problem-solving ability.
Be inquisitive
Able to fix and maintain equipment.
Can perform both individually and in a team environment.
Flexible to work outside of traditional business hours when required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Technically, you will preferably have:
A passion for helping customers and selling solutions
Knowledge of clean in place and sanitation process is advantageous
Strong interpersonal and influencing ability
A background in chemical/mechanical reasoning
A Trade or Tertiary qualifications in Science/Sustainability advantageous but not essential
A driver’s license
