Position Summary: JMT's Trenton NJ Underwater Inspection team is seeking a diving inspector/tender to be responsible for completing dives for underwater inspections. This position is not eligible for employer-based sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Check diving equipment to ensure it is functioning properly prior to dives Use diving equipment to complete underwater dives Review and interpret plans and drawings. Complete underwater inspections for construction, bridge, and/or marine structures to ensure compliance to plans and codes Record all inspection data and assists in the completion of inspection reports Field work required, which could be performed during nights and weekends Report any medical problems or symptoms experienced during or after the dive Report any equipment issues, other potential hazards, near misses or accidents Actively observes and acts in an appropriate manner related to safety Team-oriented individual committed to achieving group goals
