POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Director will be a strategic leader responsible for advancing and implementing the organization’s DE&I strategy and fostering a culture of inclusivity in all aspects of the organization. The DE&I Director will work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and execute programs, policies, and practices that promote inclusion in recruitment, retention, development, and organizational culture.

This role requires a dynamic individual who is passionate about driving meaningful change and building an inclusive work environment where all employees feel valued and supported. The DE&I Director will lead efforts to assess the current state of inclusion, establish measurable goals, and track progress to ensure success and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in the development of the DE&I strategy and initiatives in alignment with the overall MPC strategy.

Leads the implementation of DE&I strategy and objectives enterprise wide.

Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure programs, policies, and practices foster an inclusive culture.

Reviews and provides feedback to the appropriate stakeholders to update current processes and policies to support an inclusive environment.

Develops training programs and collaborates with HR to integrate DE&I into existing programs, including those supporting recruitment, retention and development.  

Partners with internal stakeholders to advance and advise on inclusion in situations impacting the employee experience.

Serves as the enterprise leader of our Employee Network Groups (ENGs) to ensure the achievement of the DE&I strategies to include tracking and measurement of the ENGs success and effectiveness.

Establishes metrics and tracks trends to measure goals and objectives and recommend improvements.

Expands and manages partnerships with external stakeholders to support initiatives aligned with DE&I strategies.  

Stays informed on best practices, trends, and legal developments to educate, inform, and influence key stakeholders and partner to modify programs, processes, and policies as appropriate.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required.

Ten (10) or more years of HR or related experience required.  

SKILLS:

Knowledge and understanding of DE&I with the ability to think strategically and analytically

Ability to develop and support a team

Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively

Results oriented with an ability to work both independently and collaboratively to meet organization needs and goals

Comfortable working with ambiguity and limited information, effectively engaging stakeholders for alignment and to drive positive outcomes.

Ability to manage multiple projects and organization needs simultaneously, thriving in a fast-paced, high-output environment

Adaptable to shifting priorities and deadlines, consistently delivering results in a dynamic and evolving work environment

Strong collaboration skills and advanced experience with stakeholder engagement and management, including building effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

High curiosity; eager to learn and understand a wide range of energy industry, business and creative subject matter

Attention-to-detail, analytical and team oriented

Ability to influence various stakeholder groups and all levels of the organization, effectively building trust, redirecting focus, and driving alignment to achieve results

Ability to learn and execute the process for managing DE&I related contracts, partnering with internal stakeholders such as Law and Supply Chain to execute agreements that align with DE&I strategies

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

TRAVEL: Some travel required.
