Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY
The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Specialist works closely with AVP of DE&I to facilitate successful execution of key initiatives, ensuring proper prioritization of efforts and project management support.
Ensuring timely communication and flow of information between the AVP of DE&I and key internal stakeholders. Developing project plans and tracking milestones to achieve key deliverables.
Provide effective oversight and guidance on the operationalization of our ERGs and their strategic plans. This includes:
Managing a regular cadence of touchpoints with all ERGs. Facilitating opportunities for partnership and collaboration. between ERGs and with other teams within AtlantiCare, as appropriate. Supporting ERG leaders in the development and implementation of annual strategic plans and budgets that aligns with our overall AtlantiCare Strategy Facilitating ERG leader election process, onboarding and recognition programs. Coordinating annual Diversity Events and Programming Coordinates the annual ERG leadership meeting, ERG Chair roundtable, Executive Sponsor roundtable, and Inclusion Council meeting. Serve as an ERG ambassador with staff and key stakeholders across the organization, promoting the value proposition of affinity groups to better engage with and support employees. Perform other duties as assigned.
Collaborating closely with the Communications teams to create internal and external DEI messaging. Be able to facilitate cultural competency education among team members. Partnering with our Experience Team to address patient concerns around DE&I. Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus resource/time constraints
Exceptional organization and collaborations skills, you love running projects, organizing events and making sure everything is in its right place. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in writing, speaking, and presenting information; experience drafting presentations and communications.
This position supports the Assistant Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I), this role will serve as a trusted partner by connecting, aligning, and streamlining strategic initiatives to design an enterprise-wide DE&I strategy. This role will require regular to multiple locations.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required in related field.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid Driver License Required
EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years of working with Diversity, Equity & Inclusion projects or initiatives. Comfortable with public speaking and leading presentations. Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel and PowerPoint in particular) - a proven ability to use standard reporting applications and analytical techniques. Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence without authority; a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships, influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, across functions and across cultural dimensions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position requires sitting at a desk/computer a majority of the day and frequent walking, standing and reaching. The ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds is required. Works with equipment such as computer terminal, fax machine, printer and copier.
