Division Controller
Description We are seeking a Division Controller to join our team in the Real Estate & Property industry, based in Englewood, Colorado. In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance, as well as managing daily financial operations. This role also involves strategic planning and leadership responsibilities. Responsibilities: • Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making • Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting • Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets • Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, SOX requirements, and regulatory standards • Conduct periodic internal audits and support external audit processes • Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll • Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals • Support senior management in strategic planning and execution • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business expansion • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Division Controller role or similar within the Real Estate & Property industry. • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential. • Experience in managing Budget Processes is required. • Needs to have a strong understanding of Compliance in the Real Estate & Property industry. • Must possess a deep knowledge of Finance. • Experience in conducting and managing Audit - Financial is crucial. • Experience in overseeing Annual External Audit is required. • Must have a proven track record in managing Annual Audited Financial Statements. • Experience in Annual Financial Reporting is necessary. • Proficiency in Financial Reporting is essential. • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred. • Must be detail-oriented and able to work under pressure. • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
