Division Controller
Description We are looking for a meticulous Division Controller to join our manufacturing team located in West Bend, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and maintaining the financial health of the organization. You will also be tasked with the development and alignment of Divisional KPI's, and acting as the financial liaison between internal and external partners. Responsibilities: • Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including the preparation of monthly financial statements and other operational reports • Uphold compliance with GAAP and company policies by maintaining proper controls, reconciling general ledger accounts, and overseeing data integrity • Guarantee the financial stability of the organization by working across boundaries and levels within the company to achieve divisional and corporate objectives • Lead the preparation of divisional annual plans, budgets, functional project plans, balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flow • Collaborate with functional managers to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies and provide recommendations for improvement • Proactively identify and lead analysis of operational and financial data to provide insights into business performance and drive consistency across plants and functions • Develop and align Divisional KPI's to support strategic planning and decision-making • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to support management decision making • Act as the financial liaison between internal and external partners, fostering collaboration and communication • Oversee the use of various accounting software systems such as 3M, ADP - Financial Services, DCAA, and Epicor to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations. Requirements • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry. • Proficiency with 3M system. • Experience with various Accounting Software Systems. • Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services. • Knowledge of DCAA regulations and requirements. • Experience with Epicor software. • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions. • Expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). • Proven experience in Annual Budget preparation and execution. • Strong skills in Auditing. • Capability to handle Month-end Close Activities. • Experience in Month End Close operations. • Understanding of Month-end Financial procedures. • Ability to create and manage Month-end Journal Entries. • Experience in Monthly Account Reconciliation. • Skill in Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation. • Proven record of managing Monthly Financial Close. • Ability to generate accurate Monthly Financial Reporting. • Proficiency in creating Monthly Forecasts. • Experience in Annual Standard Cost procedures. • Knowledge of Cost Accounting. • Expertise in Manufacturing Cost Accounting. • Understanding of Standard Cost Accounting. • Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM). • Ability to analyze and manage Cost Variance. • Experience with International Financial Reporting. • Strong skills in Budgeting - Forecasting.
