The Senior Division Credit Manager will be called upon to implement best practices in the Division's credit and collection operations. Fostering and maintaining strong working relationships with the credit and collection staff, Division sales team, Division management and Corporate management is a critical aspect of the position. This position is based in the Farmers Branch, TX area, and an in-office position.  Responsibilities To be successful, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and abilities required.  Excellent communication and negotiation skills to oversee customer account management processes and coordinate with the Sales team (field Sales and internal Sales leadership).Implementing credit and collection practices shared by the Credit Director and fellow Division Credit Managers to support the Company’s objective of having a “best in class” credit organization.Analyzing and approving customer requests for trade credit and payment terms along with managing the trade A/R collection process for a receivable portfolio of $150M+ in the construction and/or construction materials industries.Ability to drive performance improvement in the Collection Effectiveness Index (CEI). Thorough knowledge of the requirements and operational issues surrounding Texas mechanic’s lien law to protect the Company’s interest in its customer receivables, along with experience managing the mechanic’s lien process (required notices, claims, etc.).Management experience leading a large credit and collections team. The successful candidate must be proficient in the communication, organization, training, and motivation of a team of collection professionals. Prior experience with a multiple level staff is a plus.Proficiency and comfort with daily interactions with collection staff, customers, finance, and sales leadership while at the same time having the flexibility to develop the best overall result for the Division and/or Company. Preferred RequirementsBachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related discipline  Ten-plus years of credit and collection management experience with five-plus years of experience managing a large team of collection professionals in a high-volume environment. Five-plus years of experience leading a team complying with Texas mechanic’s lien law requirements. Must have excellent people skills and ability to work in a team environment.Understand and accept accountability; ability to develop strong working relationships throughout the organization at all levels.Strong written and oral communication skills.Demonstrated ability to plan, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.Ability to communicate and present at all levels of the organization.Must be able to effectively manage changes and support impacted areas of the business.Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic work environment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proven credit, collections and management skills required.TX mechanic’s lien law experience and management required.Demonstrated openness to change, flexibility, and adaptability.Prior experience with the JD Edwards ERP system is preferred, but not required. Prior experience with the HighRadius credit and collection management system is preferred, but not required. Prior experience with the NCS mechanic’s lien management system is preferred, but not required. Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of internal and external customers.Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to multi-task and produce accurate and timely results.Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands.
