The Division of General Medicine currently has 56 Employees: 47 Faculty, including MDs, Staff Physicians, and Clinical instructors, 1 Ph.D., 3 NPs, 1 PA, 2 fellows, and 2 Administrative Staff. We operate clinically at 4 hospitals and 10 clinics. We have local leadership positions at UTHealth Houston,Harris Health System, and Memorial Hermann Health System. The Division teaches at all levels of the medical school. Faculty members direct the Internal Medicine Residency Program, the Med/Peds Residency Program, the Internal Medicine Clerkship, and the Internal Medicine Electives. Faculty in the Division are recognized nationally in Quality and Error Prevention, Bioinformatics, and Population Health. We oversee a competitive Fellowship Program in General Medicine and bioinformatics. **Position Key Accountabilities:** The selected candidate will contribute to the Internal Medicine Department’s mission to educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through state high-level responsibilities: research, teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other services. **Additional Information:** This is an exempt, full-time position. Salary is commensurate with experience and includes an excellent benefits package including medical/dental/vision/life/LTD insurance/403(b), and a retirement plan.
