D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Division Land Analyst. The right candidate will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and audit budget maintenance and projected costs in existing projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Prepare House Profit Analyses and review gross profit margins for each sales contractReview SGA expenses and provide coding. Assist in SGA forecast preparationReview employee expense reimbursements for accuracy and appropriate documentationReview job costs for budget variances and cost code errorsPost bank deposits and create related cash receipt journalsMonitor fixed asset purchases and ensure the timely capitalization and depreciation of assetsCreate and process Deeds related to B2R projectsPrepare check requests for various permits, irrigation tap fees, dry utilities, etc.Facilitate the vendor setup and wrap insurance enrollmentPrepare and submit surety requests to corporate and coordinate approvals thru municipality and legal for issuance, including submittals for extensions and reductions and assist the Land Development Department and/or Project Managers (LDPM’s) with releasesReview land development budgets monthly, enter budget adjustments, and provide journal entries to accountingProcess all Contract Request Form (CRF) and Budget Line Adjustments (BLA) requests from the Land Development Department and/or the LDPM’sSend Applications for Payment monthly to vendorsAssist vendors and employees with questions related to Land Development contracts and paymentsUpdate system with drill dates for soils reports and manage the collection of the datesConduct monthly close procedures and ensure deadlines are metPrepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliationsProcess timely payment of property taxes and monthly amortizationRun various reports and perform budget trackingConducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyAbility to travel overnight

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or universityTwo to five years of related experience and/or trainingProvide attention to detail and manage multiple responsibilitiesPossess strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applicationsProficiency with MS Office and emailAbility to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral visionThe noise level is generally moderate
