Division Order Analyst (Maintenance)

Our client, a major Oil & Gas company is seeking a Division Order Analyst to work within their facilities located in The Woodlands, TX for a 10-month contract (possible to extend).
Job Overview:
The Division Order Analyst will facilitate the distribution of proceeds from oil and gas sales and the collection of well expenses by analyzing title documents, maintaining ownership records, and ensuring the accuracy of ownership interests. The role will primarily focus on Outside Operated Properties, where the analyst will verify ownership interests, collaborate with various departments, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Ownership & Title Analysis: Review and analyze well reports, title opinions, and associated legal documents to verify ownership interests. Division Orders: Prepare division orders, supplemental division orders, and transfer orders for disbursement of payments. Legal Document Review: Analyze leases, contracts, deeds, title opinions, probate, and assignments to ensure accurate ownership records. Ownership Changes: Perform basic ownership changes and assist in identifying title/ownership issues, recommending resolution steps. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth operations. Special Projects: Assist with acquisitions, divestitures, and other special projects within the department. Documentation & Compliance: Assist in the maintenance and updating of ownership records, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Learning & Development: Familiarize yourself with associated software/systems, company standards, and practices. Participate in internal and external educational events and build a network with Land professionals. Qualifications: Experience: 4+ years of relevant experience in division order maintenance or a similar role. Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferably related to Land, Oil & Gas, or similar). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Quorum Land System/SAP is a plus. Familiarity with basic land principles and land terminology.
