Divisional Engineer
  ROLE STATEMENT: The Divisional Engineer will be a member of the Technical Services department and provide a diverse range of technical, sales/business development, and operational support to the appropriate service line.  Reporting to the Vice-President, Sales and Marketing – US Operations or the Divisional Engineering Manager, the Divisional Engineer will focus on the advancement of the service line in new and existing markets and support the Districts and Sales as needed.   LOCATION: Downtown Denver SALARY & ANNUAL BONUS: $100,000-$120,000 Annually Eligibility for STIP Bonus (annual bonus) SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES: Provide effective communication with management regarding continuous improvement initiatives Able to participate in the development of policies and procedures to meet service requirements Ensure that Calfrac best practices are followed Work with all groups, i.e. Sales & Marketing, Engineering, Human Resources, etc. to smooth business operations Manage assignments to meet client requirements and to achieve the corporate mandate of “Service First” Ensure adherence to operational policies and procedures to achieve safety objectives Provide leadership/mentorship and direction to members Technical Services department to meet the Corporate Code of Business Ethics Provide technical support to Calfrac’s key clients Represent Calfrac at client meetings and be available to clients Prepare client specific reports and/or presentations Assist in bid preparation Function as service line support for local Districts and Sales Direct all product testing at the local District Assist in new product identification and assist procurement in establishing deliverable guidelines with respect to volume and timing Support all the Technical Services personnel working in the US districts Understand service line system technology and make recommendations to improve existing work, processes and procedures Act as a go-between for Divisional and District groups (Engineering and Lab) Travel to the field for on-site technical support when required Identify and document product performance (positives & negatives) Participate in client based meetings, performance reviews, root cause and failure analysis When required, be assigned “in-house” with primary customer accounts as Calfrac Engineering Representative: Provide key liaison support for customer to district, sales, lab and region level Calfrac Well Services resources Support district in meeting customer technical and operational requirements Assist Sales and Engineering departments in identification of opportunities to capitalize the use of Calfrac as a resource to the customer and the customer as a resource to Calfrac. Develop skills and support initiatives of the Technical Management team for special projects related to: Field studies, frac design, fluid and product performance Fracture model related initiatives DFIT execution and analysis Basin related characterizations and production performance evaluations. Must be able to interact effectively and work comfortably with field, regional, divisional office staff and senior management Strong leadership, mentoring and delegation skills Comfortable in a time-sensitive, project driven, team-based environment Ability to challenge assumptions backed by a strong business acumen and strong interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills with a customer service orientation and an ability to work well with all levels of the organization Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities with a high attention to detail Able to thrive in a rapidly changing environment Team player with the ability to conduct work with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism Works and inspires others to work at high performance levels TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES: Comfortable with the creation of business process and improvement initiatives Comfortable with business analysis, change management, and project management, with the ability to identify/define gaps, risks and requirements and produce supporting documentation Ability to generate reports with a high attention to detail Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint is essential Ability to adapt and develop skills related to fracture modeling, treatment pressure and reservoir analysis, and maintain ongoing understanding of technical developments in the service industry space. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: B.S.
