Role Description:
The Divisional President will join Oak Street Health at a critical time in the history of our company and of primary care. The opportunity for impact is large and growing, and Oak Street is leading the transition from fee-for-service to value-based care.
The Divisional President will be responsible for the operations, medical group performance, and financial performance in one of Oak Street's largest markets. The operations in this market has over 500 team members, and substantial revenue and profitability. This role has full P&L responsibility for the existing footprint and future growth in the market. The Divisional President will lead a team of skilled operators and medical directors to ensure the company achieves its clinical and business objectives. This role will have 6-10 direct reports consisting of Regional Vice Presidents, Operations Directors, and other professionals.
This role is expected to consult on the development of the Oak Street care model and growth model, and own the implementation for new iterations of the Oak Street approach. This will require a heavy amount of collaboration with quality, population health, outreach, and marketing colleagues at our Headquarters (the 'Treehouse') in Chicago. Additionally, the Division President will be expected to develop scalable innovations within the division that can be shared with the broader organization. Success for this role will be measured by patient growth, financial performance, quality measures, patient satisfaction, and team member satisfaction. By its nature, the areas of focus for this role will be fluid, with priorities based on business needs.
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver growth, financial, and clinical results
Lead a diverse, interdisciplinary team of 500+
Optimize health plan relationships to drive growth within the division
Develop a talent pipeline to support future growth
Identify best practices and implement across organization
Work with physician leaders to implement key care model and clinical priorities
Innovate on our current approach. Push us to improve locally and organization wide
Partner with Treehouse leaders to develop improvements in care model and operating model
Champion our vision for better primary care and be a role model for our values, both internally as well as externally in media, in public etc.
Launch new markets and new sites within the Division
Pursue business development opportunities with current and prospective partners

What are we looking for?
We're looking for motivated professionals with:
Minimum of 15 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a general management/P&L ownership role
Experience as a senior executive at a large medical group / IPA / MSO, health plan, or other applicable health care organization
Highly entrepreneurial: roll-up-your-sleeves approach, comfortable with ambiguity, highly practical
Has led a large team (10+) and has worked closely with physicians
Understands risk and managed care
