Divisional Sales & Operations Manager

Exciting Opportunity to lead our Decorating Centre operation in the Midlands!!

You will manage the Decorating Centre (DC) Network teams within the Region to help them achieve all sales, margin, profit budgets, costs and P&L responsibilities. This will involve increasing sales and margin performance through the team to help deliver our financial objectives. You will report to the Decorating Centre & Commercial Operations Director.

This is a field-based role.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the selling activities of the DC network following our strategy to deliver both Company and regional goals.  Investigate and propose new projects to maximise sales throughout the DC network both regionally and nationally, including identifying strategic opportunities for merged/new site developments to produce revenue or margin. Recruit and provide guidance to District Operations Managers and Decorating Centre teams with coaching and mentoring through development plans and the annual appraisal system. Promote cultural change and development into the region and conduct regular team meetings to provide leadership and direction. Increase levels of engagement, recognition, involvement and empowerment following our values. Direct, support, develop and motivate all employees to achieve success from their prospective areas concerning business development, market reach and utilisation of resources, cascading training and promotional activities. 

Qualifications

Preferable educated to Degree level or A Level standard as a minimum or qualified through appropriate levels of experience. Experience managing a multi-site network of retail or trade outlets with B2B experience A commercial approach to business and the ability to quickly gain in-depth understanding of the Company and its operational and sales procedures and the ability to work cross-functionally within the organisation. Knowledge of financial reporting systems and P&L management
