Job Description

Provide administrative and/or secretarial support to the Fire Prevention section and to the Fire Chief. Requires ability to perform basic numerical, statistical, and/or functional analysis. Applies common sense understanding to execute written or oral instructions. Effective oral and written communication skills are required. Duties will include functioning as the Database Administrator, facilitating all ESAMS data entry / reviews / audits / and updates required under the current DJBOSS contract

Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring Fire Inspection reports, Public Education Training reports, and other Prevention related work products are captured and entered into the Enterprise Safety Application Management System (ESAMS).

Ensuring fire extinguisher and equipment inventory, inspection, testing, and maintenance information is captured, entered, and kept updated in the Enterprise Safety Application Management System (ESAMS).

Must comply with all department and company rules, instructions and standard operating policies.

Must comply with all safety rules and policies.

All other assigned tasks as directed by superiors in chain of command.

Basic Qualifications :

Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health; fit for duty.

Must speak, read, write and understand the English language fluently.

Must have experience with computers and be proficient with Microsoft Office products.

Subject to random drug testing.

Must be at least high school graduate
