Job Summary
Construction Electrician job description involves installing and maintaining electrical systems, generator control systems on construction sites. His duties include reading blueprints and laying out electrical circuits for installation, installing new wiring and electrical systems, and inspecting and troubleshooting faulty circuits. Construction Electrician will work with other construction professionals to ensure their electrical work is coordinated with framing, plumbing, and other tasks. He will also be responsible for repairing electrical equipment or designing more efficient electrical systems. Construction Electricians must follow all safety regulations and perform their work with precision and attention to detail. He will typically work full-time, either regularly scheduled hours or with overtime as needed to complete projects on time. Electricians should also be comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces depending on the project. A Construction Electrician requires a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as experience as an electrician or in a related field. Work under direct supervision, assigned daily work. May explain instructions and documentation to plan work activities. Helps coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site. Job may require moderate to heavy lifting. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
Roles and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Install electrical systems, wiring, control wiring and equipment at construction sitesRead and interpret blueprints and schematics to plan electrical installationsTroubleshoot electrical issues and repair faulty componentsFollow safety protocols TSTI/AHA and regulations to prevent hazards on job sitesCollaborate with other construction professionals such as plumbers, framers, and HVAC techniciansThe LOTO (Lock out tag out) process MUST be followed all time.Use hand and power tools to complete electrical installations and repairsMaintain electrical systems and equipment to ensure their continued functioningKeep accurate records of electrical work performed and materials usedProvide guidance and training to apprentice electricians as needed.Basic Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience.Must be fluent in EnglishMust possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remainingMust possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validityKBR Benefits
